Jagged rocks were scattered along the shoreline as we took our

first walk down onto the unique covey beaches walking through the holes in the cliff walls that lead from one beach to another
.
We then went back to the hotel to relax for the rest of the afternoon at the pool, which was perfectly situated on the 5th floor of the hotel overlooking the sea.
Our first night we had dinner on the beachfront. Andy had swordfish and I had the famous grilled sardines. I never knew sardines tasted so good. The sun was starting to set on the beach and the views were out of this world. I felt so incredibly emotional and had tears in my eyes saying that even if we only had this one night in Portugal, it would have been worth everything. As the skyline turned pink and the city lights started twinkling in the background we started to drink port and just revelled in the beauty and peaceful feelings that surrounded us.
